The Atlanta Hawks are to face the 66=win Boston Celtics. Almost everybody is thinking that they don’t stand a chance against the Celtics. Their coach even shaved his head to distract the team from this reality.
Boston‘s Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen will make sure that Atlanta would not get in their way. Their only weakness may well be overconfidence. That makes the odds of beating them very low.
Also, history is against them since only a few teams have made it from the number eight spot. Well, that will make the game very exciting don’t you think?

Thomas was found to have sexually harassed a former team employee, feuded with point guard Stephon Marbury and benched center Eddy Curry. The players were the ones Thomas acquired in the two biggest of a number of moves that never panned out.Thomas did some questionable moves. He gave a $30 million contract in the summer of 2005 to center Jerome James, a career 4.3 points per game scorer who hasn’t been healthy or productive, and seems bothered by neither. A year later, Thomas used his mid-level exception on Jared Jeffries, who has limited offensive skills. Still miss him?

Minnesota and New York won tiebreakers, increasing their chances of getting a higher pick in June’s NBA draft. This is just a consequence of being some of the worst teams to play this season. Well, that just gives them a fair chance of improving their game next season.
Star freshmen Michael Beasley of Kansas State and Derrick Rose of Memphis are expected to be the top selections. Whoever they choose, I hope they get the players that will improve their team’s standing next season.

We all know that Kobe Bryant is one of the famous NBA players of today. But now, he is not just a basketball player but a commercial model as well.
Lately, his new Nike commercial is getting a lot of attention because of a stunt done by him. In this commercial Kobe leaps over a moving car which looks like very real but certainly it is not. With the new and advance technologies that we have now, everything is possible.
Kobe being one of the athletes people look up to, tells his viewers not to try this similar stunt at home.

Tiger Woods is known to be one of the greatest golfers who already have proven his brilliant skills in golf. With his game with Trevor Immelman, Woods is pressured because he will need the second-greatest 36-hole rally in Masters history to keep his quest going beyond the opening major.
I know Tiger Woods’ determination will help him to win in the Masters. I know that his match with Immelman would be very full of excitement. I wonder who among the two would gain the Victory. But as for me, Woods and Immelman is deserving of the title. Let’s just wait and see what will happen.

I wonder how many percent in the world are athletes? Or even just into sports? Everyday there are people who would want to be updated with the latest sports news. In a newspaper, some people only read the sports section. I guess sports are already part of people’s lives. Even that they don’t feel the heat of seeing a basketball game, baseball, softball, golf, etc… they still feel the excitement. It is good that there are lots of sites in the internet which keep us updated. We need sports to be entertained and to rest our minds from various problems or life’s issues. It’s good to be sporty!
